On 25 April, Dr Floor Haalboom, from the Medical Ethics, Philosophy and History of Medicine at the Erasmus MC Rotterdam, will discuss ‘Animal Contagion and the ‘Downside of Progress’. The seminar will take place on Zoom, 16–17 CET.

Focusing on ‘Contagion’ from different historical perspectives, this seminar series is part of the History of Medicine and Heath Seminars at the University of Groningen and organized under the auspices of the Groningen Centre for Health and Humanities and the Centre for Historical Studies. The organizers are Hilde Bras, Yuliya Hilevych, James Kennaway, Rina Knoeff and Catrien Santing.
