Scientiae Summer Series – Session 1: Transformative Empiricisms | 3 June 2022

We have a planned a number of exciting Scientiae panels for the Summer of 2022. The first one will take place on Friday 3 June (9 and 11 AM EDT) and will be devoted to experimentation and empiricism. The program is as follows:

  • Margaret Carlyle (University of British Columbia), “Instrumentalizing the Pelvis at the Paris Academy of Surgery”
  • Julia Reed (Harvard University), “The Forensics of Incorruption in Early Modern Medicine: the Empirical Aristotelianism of Paolo Zacchia”
